ASME SA-210C seamless medium carbon steel pipe for boilers and superheaters: It is a steel grade specified in the ASME SA-210 standard and is a small-diameter carbon manganese steel pipe for boilers and superheaters. It is a pearl shaped heat-resistant steel. Its yield strength is about 20% higher than 20G, while its plasticity and toughness are comparable to 20G. The production process of this steel is simple and has good cold and hot processing performance. Replacing 20G with it can reduce wall thickness, decrease material usage, and improve the heat transfer performance of the boiler. Its usage location and temperature are basically the same as 20G, mainly used for components such as water-cooled walls, economizers, and low-temperature superheaters with working temperatures below 500 ℃.

SA210C alloy steel pipe is a material material specified in the ASME Boiler Code, widely used in the manufacture of water-cooled walls, economizers, and other components of thermal power boilers. In China’s boiler steel series, its operating temperature and strength range between 20G and 15CrMoG.
Compared with 20G steel, SA210C alloy steel pipe has higher carbon and manganese content in terms of its chemical composition. It not only improves the strength of the material, but also refines the metal structure. When SA-210C steel is used at 450-500 ℃, its high-temperature yield strength and endurance strength are both higher than 20G. Power plant boiler manufacturers mainly use SA-210C steel pipes to manufacture water-cooled walls and economizers for 300MW and 600MW unit boilers. The metal wall temperature of these components is below 480 ℃. Using SA-210C instead of 20G high-pressure boiler tubes can reduce wall thickness by about 10% and steel consumption by about 10%. Due to the reduction in wall thickness, heat transfer conditions can also be improved, which is conducive to the improvement of comprehensive benefits. Therefore, using SA-210C high-pressure boiler tubes in power plant boilers has significant economic benefits. China has also included SA-210C as 25MnG in the GB5310-1995 standard for seamless steel pipes for high-pressure boilers. From the development trend in recent years, with the improvement of boiler parameters, its usage has been increasing, replacing 20G as the most widely used high-pressure boiler tube steel.
